Highway Department

The Town of Albion’s Highway Department is dedicated to ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic quality of our community’s roadways and related infrastructure. Through diligent maintenance and improvement efforts, the department strives to provide residents and visitors with reliable transportation routes and well-maintained public spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Road Maintenance: Performing regular upkeep of town roads, including pothole repairs, resurfacing, and shoulder maintenance, to ensure safe and smooth travel conditions.​
  • Snow and Ice Control: Implementing snow plowing, salting, and sanding operations during winter months to maintain clear and safe roadways.​
  • Drainage Management: Maintaining and repairing drainage systems, such as culverts and ditches, to prevent flooding and preserve road integrity.​
  • Signage and Roadside Upkeep: Installing and maintaining traffic signs, as well as managing vegetation along roadways to ensure visibility and safety.
